About Us
Wave Builders Inc. is a locally owned and operated construction company serving the southwest Chicago suburbs — where a single team carries your project from concept to completion and stands behind every decision along the way.
Our Story
When our owner, Joe, was graduating high school, he decided he wanted to enter the contractor industry. He decided to move to Arizona for one year to learn everything he could about this industry and what’s required to be successful. When returning back home, he chose to become a union carpenter, and did that until the recession in 2008, where he then became a foreman. While the work there was fulfilling, he decided he wanted more, and branched off on his own in 2020 to do his own general contractor work. After doing that for a few years, in 2025, he created Wave Builders Inc. and has already completed 100+ jobs!
The reason we wanted to tell this story is not just to let you know about our owner’s journey to this business, but to also show the amount of determination he had to move up the ladder throughout his entire career. From being a union carpenter, to a foreman, to doing general contracting work on his own, to now owning and operating a company with a team providing exceptional results to homeowners and business owners. He has been determined throughout his whole career, and now he is more determined than ever to make Wave Builders Inc. the number one general contractor in the area by serving as many people as possible!
We make things as easy as possible for every one of our customers, and we value each and every customer no matter what the size of the project is. If you’re looking for a high-quality general contractor in Yorkville, Oswego, Plainfield, Shorewood, Aurora, Naperville, or in many of the surrounding areas, feel free to give us a call or request a free consultation and we’ll be happy to help with your next project.
What We Stand For
Every decision at Wave Builders traces back to four commitments we made before we took our first project.
No-Surprise Pricing
We build detailed scopes before we give you a number. Change orders happen in construction — but they should never be how a contractor makes its margin. We price honestly up front and hold to it.
Craft Over Speed
We are not the fastest firm on any given street. We are the firm whose work still looks right in fifteen years. Timelines are respected; corners are not cut.
Community-First Service
We live and work in the same southwest suburbs we build in. We know local inspectors, local suppliers, and local codes — and we're here long after the project closes if anything ever needs attention.
